明治時代創業、日本の伝統的なライフスタイルを彩る竹製品を作り続けてきました。日本における「竹」は純粋で神聖な素材と言えるでしょう。彼らは京都の伝統工芸品である京銘竹を生産し、それを素材とした商品や建材を製造しています。天然の高品質な素材はもちろん、竹製品製造の知識・経験の豊富さも京都随一。今回は技術力を生かし現代的な家具を制作しました。
家具製作：忠伸工芸
Founded in Meiji period, Miki Bamboo has been making products and building materials to accompany all aspects of Japanese traditional lifestyle and arts. Miki Bamboo produces Kyo-meichiku bamboo, designated as one of Traditional Arts and Crafts of Kyoto. Their creativity, rich knowledge and expertise makes Miki Bamboo special; there are no one like them. In this project, they try to create a modern furniture featuring their taimatsu, or torch, technique.
